Here's what I am showing for May and the overall standings:
May:
CB: +15.83
The Posse: +1.35
Hoffy: -2.85
I.B.Sharpman: -3.54
ATown23: -4.60
The Y: -10.79
It looks like CB finally got sick of all the blogs and podcasts gushing over how ridiculously sharp Scott is, as he blew away the competition with a Hoffman-esque stretch run (Highlighted by an incredible Indians comeback win over the Rays) to take the May crown. In addition, he has also moved into first place in the overall standings.
Overall:
CB: +25.45
Hoffy: +24.33
I.B.Sharpman: +12.82
Coordinator: +3.27
Billy Lincoln: +2.45
The Posse: -3.15
The Y: -5.28
ATown23: -11.95
I find comfort in the fact that out of the normal people (That is people who shouldn't have a statue erected in their honor in front of every sports book in this town) I am currently in first place. It's not like I actually expect to compete with CB and/or Hoffy. I wouldn't expect to beat Ryan Howard in a home run derby, either. Both Coordinator and Billy Lincoln (aka The Computer Wonderboy) took the month of May off.... and they are basically in the exact same place they were at the end of April.
Come back to the contest, guys. You're really not that busy. It's not like either of you has Sherman's schedule.
(Sorry, CB. Just don't read the whole thing next time.)
