April Recap

Here are the standings through the first month of the contest:

Hoffy: +27.18

I.B.Sharpman: +16.36

CB: +9.62

The Y: +5.51

Coordinator: +3.27

And a few small announcements. Bennett please avert your eyes.

1. Scott wins the April pool and has built a seemingly insurmountable lead in the overall pool. I decided that it will be easier to just settle up on everything at the end of the season at which time you can all either write a personal check to "Scott Hoffman" or just give him the cash for him to throw onto the big pile he keeps in his closet.

2. The Computer Group has been very quiet lately which is interesting because they had claimed that no one else would be left in the contest by May 15 due to their unbeatable picks. Well, it's May 1st and the only one who has thrown in the towel is the Computer.

Matt pulled me aside the other day and admitted that the reason he hasn't been posting his plays lately is because Scott is so far ahead of him that he is embarrassed. Very understandable. When I passed this along to Scott, he agreed to purposefully throw in some losers in future posts to give the rest of us a fighting chance. Nice guy.

3. Ed has been taking blogging classes at night and should be ready to post his plays in a week or two.

4. Jeff agreed to be in the contest if he could "Tweet" his plays in.

I said no.
